Sammut Developments approached Toast with the task of naming, and creating a logo for their luxury property development located in beachside Sydney suburb Cronulla.
Inspired by the surroundings, we conceived "drift" - a representation of the smooth beach breeze, mellow waters and the relaxed lifestyle of a beachside community.
In designing the logo, we aimed to encompass two key elements - luxury and relaxation. The decision was made to create a logotype, rather than anything featuring a graphic/icon which would cheapen the identity. This was achieved with custom typography, free of unnecessary elements, stripped back to its simplest form, with elegant, thin strokes, opulent curves and a contrast of strong right angles and gentle curves, reflecting the ideals of luxury architecture and a laid-back lifestyle.
Our target audience? Potential purchasers of these luxury, boutique apartments. Of interest, ALL APARTMENTS SOLD WHILE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION based solely off plans and promotional materials.
